Bedroom Focus: The Zoo Room
At Edgar House, we are very proud of our bedrooms and their design, many of which are themed to reflect the heritage and history of the local area, we have a Roman bedroom; a nod to Chester’s Roman history, a horse/racing bedroom; a look to Chester Racecourse, and of course, our Zoo bedroom; an appreciation for the world famous Chester Zoo!
The Design & Inspiration
The Design
The sophisticated animal print wallpaper subtly runs all the way around the room, don’t be surprised if you find yourself just staring at the walls, the detailed drawing is fantastic! The striking ikat headboard and cushions complement the neutral backdrop of the space for a bold pop of colour.
From the beautifully framed handwoven African fans to the coffee table books, the themed details are evident throughout the space.
We even brought in these magical teepees for a recent party, and as you can see the children were absolutely delighted – anything is possible at Edgar House!
The Inspiration
Chester Zoo is infamous as the most visited zoo in the UK – 2 million people per year, to be precise! The zoo is home to over 20,000 animals (of 84 different species) and 128 acres of zoological gardens, it is well worth a visit.
The zoo is also a major wildlife and conversation charity, absolutely passionate in its fight to tackle extinction and to make a real difference to the profile of wildlife on the planet. You might even leave having adopted an elephant… (don’t worry parents, you won’t need to take him home with you!) Find out more about what’s on offer and their all-important work.
Having experienced a taste of the zoological offerings of Chester in this magical bedroom, it’s only right to complete your stay with a visit to Chester’s fantastic Zoo – a day full of fun for the children, and adults too.
We can only apologise if the decision over who gets the Zoo bedroom causes a domestic, but fear not, there are plenty of other beautiful choices too!
