Edgar’s super luxurious and quirky interiors offer a wonderful blend of tradition, bold contemporary design and modern comfort, and since we refurbished the property it has been featured in various magazines.
The fabulous large open plan kitchen, dining and living space is perfect for entertaining. Relax in the cosy library / snug or play until your heart is content in the fun filled games room (air hockey, table football, darts and a juke box).
Enjoy a night at the movies in the wonderful cinema / TV room, which is equipped with Sky / BT sport and internet connection for streaming your favourite films from your Netflix or Amazon account.
Edgar’s modern kitchen is gorgeous and very well equipped. However, if you don’t feel like cooking we will recommend some of Chester’s best restaurants (see our Guide to Chester) or introduce you to one of our amazing private chefs who will cook up a treat for you “at home” at Edgar!
Seven luxurious ensuite bedrooms sleep up to 14 people. Three of those bedrooms have super king size beds and four offer zip/link beds for added flexibility. One of the bedrooms (the Copper Suite) has its own lounge with a small sofa double bed, taking the maximum house capacity to 16 if required.
In summer months dine outside on Edgar’s spectacular river view patio, once described by renowned travel writer Alistair Sawday as “Chester’s equivalent of the Royal Box”. There is plenty of outside seating to eat, drink, sit back and relax whilst listening to the river Dee flow over the tidal weir.
Chester’s world renowned zoo is a short drive away. Further afield, stunning Snowdonia, the Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire, the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, Liverpool and Manchester are all within easy touring distance.
